As a vibrant marketplace, the EFM brings together key professionals—including producers, distributors, sales agents, buyers, and financiers—to buy, sell, and license films, series, documentaries, and other audiovisual content. Beyond its transactional role, the EFM serves as a vital hub for collaboration, trend exploration, and networking, contributing to shaping the future of the industry.

Moreover, during this edition of the Berlinale, CAACI will convene a new Advisory Council.

About the Ibero-American Audiovisual Observatory (OIA) and CAACI:

The Ibero-American Audiovisual Observatory (OIA) is an initiative under the Conference of Ibero-American Cinematographic Authorities (CAACI), a regional organization focused on the development and integration of audiovisual and cinematographic production across 22 Ibero-American countries. Established in 2008, OIA serves as a key repository of statistics and data, providing insights into film production, distribution, exhibition, and legislative frameworks. It plays a crucial role in supporting informed decision-making by industry professionals, policymakers, and researchers.

CAACI, founded in 1989, aims to strengthen the region’s film industry by harmonizing national policies, preserving cinematographic heritage, and expanding the market for Ibero-American films. The OIA supports this mission by systematically collecting and analyzing relevant audiovisual data from CACI member states, drawing inspiration from the European Audiovisual Observatory.
